First Meeting of 2014

Let’s keep the momentum going!  Dori has offered to let us use Smiling Turtle for the first meeting.  We can discuss future meeting spots at that meeting.  Please send me any items for the agenda  by March 25th, so I can get it on the list.   That is not to say the meeting will be rigid in any way, I just want to make sure we address the things we need to discuss, like future leadership, the blog, membership lists, shows, meeting spaces, etc..  I am sure there are things that I haven’t thought of, so please don’t hesitate to suggest a topic.

Thanks everyone and see you on March 29th!

Robin

Delivery info for "More than Sugar and Spice"

I stated that we would be at the gallery at the Student Union between noon and 2:00 pm but we won't be there until 1:00 pm. However, you may drop off work there on Wednesday, the 29th or before 1:00 pm on the 1st. Our contact there is Rachelle Ray. If you go upstairs in the Student Union to the gallery floor, her office is clear off to the right. She is willing to keep artwork in her office for those who need to drop off early.

Thanks,
Cyndy

"More than Sugar and Spice" show at UNL

Here are the final instructions for the show that is being hung in Lincoln at the East Campus Student Union.

Artwork must not be larger than 24 x 24. UNL does not allow nudes in this show at the Student Union. There are pedestals for three dimensional work.

Artwork must have screw eyes and wire for hanging. Artists are responsible for making sure art hangs and is stable. If artwork is not able to be hung, it will not be included in the show and the artist will be responsible for picking it up.

Include two 2" x 3 1/2" cards (business card size) for your work with your name, the title of the work, price and contact information. You may include a short statement about your piece.

Please let me know if you are participating in this show.

Delivery information:

If you are unable to deliver to the Student Union there are two options for delivery:

1. You may deliver to Nicole Hanna's home until and including Tuesday, February 28th. Her address is 10912 Washington St. -- just west of 108th between "Q" Street and Harrison Street, in Brookhaven subdivision...the main street into Brookhaven is Washington, so she's just a block in, on the right (north) side of the street. Tan colored house with dark brown trim, big pin oak tree in front yard. You can give her a call on her cell to set up a time that works for you...(402) 740-0268.

2. On Wednesday, February 29th, you may deliver to me at the Hot Shops between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. If I am not in the main entry hall, I will be in the large room to the right in the very back of the building. I will actually be there until 8:30 so you can bring your work until that time but I would rather be done with delivery by 6:30, if possible. If you have any questions, you may call me at 402-319-7043.
